Zalazane's Head
Zalazane's Head is the grim trophy brought to Master Gadrin to confirm the fall of the traitorous witch doctor Zalazane. Its retrieval marks a crucial step in freeing the Echo Isles from the dark magic holding the Darkspear tribe's home hostage.
Proof of the Traitor's End
When the witch doctor Zalazane betrayed the Darkspear tribe, he used mind-enslaving hexes to seize control of their island home, driving Vol'jin's people to the mainland shores of Durotar. From the Echo Isles, Zalazane continued to send hexed thralls across the waters to snatch more victims. To assure the anxious refugees in Sen'jin Village that the tyrant's reign of terror had broken, Master Gadrin demanded absolute physical proof of his demise. Returning the severed head not only confirms Zalazane's defeat in battle, but offers the displaced tribe a rare measure of peace and a hope of one day reclaiming their stolen islands.
