Theramore Medal

Carried by marines, marksmen, commandos, and officers serving out of Northwatch Hold, these stamped medals signify military allegiance to Lady Jaina Proudmoore's realm of Theramore. To the human soldiers perched on the cliffs overlooking the Barrens, they represent legitimate service and sovereign authority in a hostile frontier. To outsiders, however, the medals are trophies of an overzealous foreign garrison that treats every approaching vessel along the coast as a mortal threat.

Northwatch Hold's gun batteries pose a deadly hazard to maritime traffic navigating the Merchant Coast, frequently bombarding privateers and merchantmen alike. In response to lost vessels, Ratchet privateer Captain Thalo'thas Brightsun seeks these medals as proof that Northwatch's trigger-happy ranks have paid in blood for sinking his ships.
