The Book of Ur
The Book of Ur is a scholarly magical treatise penned by the late Dalaran wizard Ur, detailing his research into strange extradimensional entities. Left behind in Shadowfang Keep, it fell into the hands of Archmage Arugal before drawing the keen interest of Forsaken researchers in the Undercity.
The Mage of Dalaran
Before Dalaran fell to the Scourge, Ur was renowned among the Kirin Tor for his esoteric investigations into other planes of existence and otherworldly creatures. Despite his fascination with extraplanar magic, Ur was guided by caution and ethical restraint, choosing to record his discoveries rather than recklessly breach the veil between worlds. Tragically, when the Scourge assaulted the violet city, his magical prowess and moral hesitations were not enough to save him.
