Discovered during the initial excavations of Bael Modan, the crystal was celebrated as the dig site's first major triumph. Its strange radiance captivated the miners, but none more intensely than Feegly. Claiming the relic gifted him profound strength, Feegly fell under its sway. Fearing the artifact's dark influence—and alarmed by Feegly's increasingly unstable behavior toward his comrades—expedition commander General Twinbraid declared the stone cursed. Twinbraid confiscated the relic, sealed it securely inside his personal strongbox within Bael'dun Keep, and cast Feegly out into the Barrens wasteland.
