Stormpike's Request

While stationed far to the north in Loch Modan, Mountaineer Stormpike requires a sturdy new shield to weather the dangers of the dwarven frontier. Rather than trusting an ordinary smith, he insists on commissioning Furen Longbeard, an armorsmith whose legendary craftsmanship he holds in the highest regard. Because Furen now resides far to the south among the humans of Stormwind's Dwarven District—lured away from Ironforge by what Stormpike assumes must be a king's ransom—the mountaineer relies on traveling adventurers to deliver his formal request across the kingdoms.

Delivering the letter into the bustling Dwarven District of Stormwind places the order directly into Furen Longbeard's capable hands. As a proud and established dwarven clan known across Khaz Modan for both martial grit and substantial wealth, a Stormpike commission carries weight. Pleased to receive word and business from his ancestral northern homelands, Furen agrees to fulfill the order and set to work hammering out the mountaineer's shield.
