Lady Sylvanas Windrunner and her dreadlord lieutenant, Varimathras, determined that such powerful relics were wasted on cultists with lesser vision. Varimathras tasks Horde adventurers with venturing into the chasm to seize the Spells of Shadow alongside its companion tome, Incantations from the Nether, directing their power toward the Forsaken cause against the Scourge and the Lich King.
