Initiates undertaking the Call of Water are directed northward across the border from the Barrens into the dense forests of Ashenvale. Nestled against the mountains dividing Ashenvale from Stonetalon, beyond Lake Mystral, lie the Ruins of Stardust—a secluded elven sanctuary guarded by fierce forest beasts. At the center of this sacred lake stands an untouched fountain. Drawing from its basin into a blue waterskin yields water untainted by corruption or drought, prized by shaman masters for ritual attunement.

The water collected within this vessel serves as the final sample required by Brine, a hermit water expert dwelling on a hill in the southern Barrens. Combined with waters gathered from other contrasting wells and springs, this pure essence is distilled into an offering potent enough to manifest and soothe the elemental spirits of water, completing the initiate's trial.
