Empty Blue Waterskin

The Empty Blue Waterskin is a ritual vessel given to initiates during the shamanic trials of water. Provided by the hermit Brine in the Barrens, it is carried north into ancient night elf lands to secure a sacred, untainted liquid necessary to fashion the Water Totem.

A Sacred Vessel

Communing with the spirit of water requires tangible communion with pure, undisturbed sources across Kalimdor. Handed down by the recluse Brine from her hilltop hut in the southern Barrens, the Empty Blue Waterskin represents the final and most perilous gathering task of a shaman's early training. It is destined to hold pristine water taken directly from a secluded fountain deep within the ancient Ruins of Stardust, nestled along the contested borderlands of Ashenvale.

The Forest Fountain

Filling this simple container demands that the initiate journey beyond the safety of Horde territory into the ancient groves guarded by nature beasts and night elves. Once dipped into the waters of the ruined sanctuary, the vessel becomes a Filled Blue Waterskin. Combined with samples from the Barrens and Tarren Mill, its contents allow Brine to brew the draught needed to summon and appease the elemental spirit of water.
