Ebonlocke's Response to Solomon is an official letter penned by Lord Ello Ebonlocke, the mayor of Darkshire. Carried back to Lakeshire, it flatly rejects Redridge's desperate plea for military assistance from the Night Watch.
A Bitter Refusal
Facing blackrock orc incursions, Magistrate Solomon of Lakeshire sought reinforcements from Duskwood after Stormwind ignored his petitions. Lord Ello Ebonlocke's reply is scathing and uncompromising. Ebonlocke points out that the Night Watch exists only because Stormwind abandoned Darkshire when corrupting magic first gripped the woods. Stripping the town of its defenders to aid Redridge would leave Duskwood defenceless, ensuring it fell to evil before the militia even reached the forest's edge.
