Dalaran Mana Gem

The mages, conjurors, and guards of the Kirin Tor stationed around Ambermill in Silverpine Forest carry specialized mana gems to focus and replenish their arcane energies. For the Forsaken practitioners in the Magic Quarter of the Undercity, these crystalline conduits represent an accessible source of concentrated magical essence. Although some undead mages acknowledge a shared academic heritage with Dalaran, pragmatic necessity and a philosophy of survival dictate that unyielding rivals are fair game to be stripped of their magical resources.

When harvested from fallen Kirin Tor operatives, these gems are brought to tailors like Josef Gregorian in the Undercity alongside bundles of simple linen. While ordinary craftsmen cannot directly channel arcane power, skilled tailors can bind the mana gems into the weave of the cloth. This infusion transforms common thread into enchanted garments capable of bolstering a fledgling spellcaster's connection to the arcane.
