Black Feather Quill
The Black Feather Quill is a sacred night elf relic used by the Druids of the Talon during their rites of hibernation and awakening. Stored within a dedicated chest in the Ban'ethil Barrow Den, it is one of several vital focuses needed to safely call slumbering druids back from the Emerald Dream.
A Vessel of Wakening
Night elf druidism relies on deeply attuned sacred items to navigate the threshold between the waking world and the Emerald Dream. The Black Feather Quill, along with the Raven Claw Talisman, the Sapphire of Sky, and the Rune of Nesting, forms the core set of ritual items required to break the delicate hibernation of the Druids of the Talon. Without these focuses, a slumbering druid risks remaining trapped within the Dream indefinitely, unable to rejoin their waking body.
The Threat in Ban'ethil
When corrupted Gnarlpine furbolgs overran the Ban'ethil Barrow Den, the sacred chests housing these treasures fell into danger. Left unguarded in the winding depths, the relics had to be recovered swiftly by order of Athridas Bearmantle in Dolanaar before the captive druids were lost forever to the Dream.
