Berard's Journal
Berard's Journal is a collection of research notes penned by Apothecary Berard before he fell victim to Archmage Arugal's curse. Left behind in Pyrewood Village, the book documents Berard's study of an ancient plague that once wiped out the aquatic life of Lake Lordamere, making it highly valuable to the Royal Apothecary Society.
Lost Research of Lake Lordamere
Before Archmage Arugal unleashed his shadow magic across Silverpine Forest, Apothecary Berard was considered one of the Royal Apothecary Society's most promising minds. Stationed in Pyrewood Village, he focused his work on an ancient, virulent blight that had eradicated all aquatic life within Lake Lordamere centuries prior. When Arugal's curse gripped the settlement, Berard's mind was shattered, turning him into another mindless thrall. His detailed field notes remained behind on a bookshelf in his quarters at the Pyrewood Village Inn.
