Zul'Farrak
Zul'Farrak is a sprawling, sun-baked sandstone city tucked into the northwestern cliffs of Tanaris. Long isolated from the rest of their kind, the Sandfury trolls defend this ancient stronghold with fanatic zeal, dark voodoo, and a hoard of undead risen from their sandy graves.
The Withered Remnant
Little of Zul'Farrak's distant past survives beyond troll legend, but the Sandfury trolls who hold it have long endured the searing, arid wastes of Tanaris. Known across the desert for their particular ruthlessness, their priests now practice a brutal brand of dark mysticism, exhuming their own dead to build a shambling army within their sun-bleached walls.
Legends of the Sand
Whispers throughout Gadgetzan tell of treasures and terrors hidden behind Zul'Farrak's guarded gates. Troll lore speaks of Sul'thraze the Lasher, a legendary broadsword broken into two separate blades that remain hidden somewhere in the city. More alarming are the tales of a band of mercenaries led by Sergeant Bly who wandered into the city and were captured, as well as rumors of Gahz'rilla, an ancient hydra demigod slumbering within a sacred pool at the city's heart.
