Shatter Scar Vale
Shatter Scar Vale is a scorched basin in central Felwood, located just north of Bloodvenom Falls. It marks the ground zero where demonic infernals crashed into northern Kalimdor during the Third War. Today, the craters still burn with fel fire and host lingering remnants of the Burning Legion.
Impact of the Infernals
During the Third War, the Burning Legion rained living siege engines down upon northern Kalimdor. Shatter Scar Vale bore the brunt of this celestial assault. Demonic infernals plummeted from the skies, tearing through the ancient canopy and smashing deep craters into the earth. The violent impact shattered the terrain, leaving blackened hollows that smolder with unholy fire to this day. Though the Legion was shattered at Mount Hyjal, the infernals and lingering lesser demons never truly dispersed, maintaining an entrenched foothold in the scarred earth.
