Scarab Wall
The Scarab Wall is a colossal barricade at the southern border of Silithus, before the insectoid empire of Ahn'Qiraj. Conjured at the end of the War of the Shifting Sands, the barrier combined stone and bronze dragonflight sorcery to contain the ancient swarms. It stands as an imposing reminder of the terrible cost of that war.
Shield Against the Shadow
Spanning the desert from east to west, the Scarab Wall was raised a thousand years ago at the conclusion of the catastrophic War of the Shifting Sands. Pushed to the brink of annihilation by the qiraji, the night elf armies and their dragon allies forced the swarms back into their ancient kingdom. To contain them permanently, an immense rampart of desert stone was raised, crowned by a colossal magical barrier woven by the bronze dragonflight. The wall successfully severed the insectoid armies from Kalimdor, though the dread presence locked behind its stone remains palpable.
