Scarab Dais
The Scarab Dais is an ancient raised platform situated northwest of the Scarab Wall in southern Silithus. It holds the legendary Scarab Gong, the ritual instrument tied directly to the magical wards sealing the qiraji empire within Ahn'Qiraj.
The Gong of Ahn'Qiraj
Overlooking the shifting sands before the colossal barrier of the Scarab Wall, the Scarab Dais serves as the focal point for the seal placed upon Ahn'Qiraj a millennium ago. Upon this stone dais rests the Scarab Gong, a relic forged during the War of the Shifting Sands. According to ancient night elven history and the bronze dragonflight, striking this gong with the reconstructed Scepter of the Shifting Sands is the only means to shatter the magical barrier and breach the gates. Until that fateful moment arrives, the platform remains an ominous vigil over the sealed insectoid horrors slumbering beyond the wall.
