Raptor Grounds

Tucked into the dusty hills of the southern Barrens, the Raptor Grounds is a secluded valley claimed by the Sunscale raptors. Unlike ordinary wild beasts, the pack here exhibits an eerie, tool-using cunning and a compulsive urge to steal bright trinkets from nearby settlements.

Located west of Northwatch Hold, the Raptor Grounds serves as the primary nesting territory for the Sunscale raptors. Travelers quickly discover that these creatures are far from mindless predators: they display an unnatural intelligence, fashioning crude shelters, assembling primitive tools, and coordinating their hunts. Driven by a relentless fascination with shiny and unusual items, the pack regularly raids passing caravans and Horde encampments, dragging coins, trinkets, and supplies back into their canyon dens.
