Old Ironforge

Old Ironforge, also called the Assembly of Thanes, is an ancient subterranean chamber lying directly beneath the High Seat of Ironforge. Carved deep into the mountain's roots above glowing magma veins, it represents the ancestral heart of the dwarven capital. In the present day, its heavy access gates in the royal throne room remain sealed and vigilantly guarded.

Beneath King Magni Bronzebeard's throne in the High Seat rests the cavernous hall known as Old Ironforge or the Assembly of Thanes. Deep inside these fiery subterranean foundations, winding stone bridges cross pools of subterranean lava. Long before the bustling halls of the Great Forge and the Commons echoed with modern dwarven commerce, early thanes gathered in these cavernous depths to deliberate and govern the mountain kingdom.
