Lake Mennar
Lake Mennar is a tranquil body of freshwater nestled amidst the shattered ruins of Azshara. It is remarkably renowned as one of the exceedingly rare havens outside of Northrend where members of the blue dragonflight reside. While the perimeter teems with protective blue dragonspawn, the shores of the lake itself remain strangely serene.
A Sanctuary for the Blue Dragonflight
Situated in the ancient, broken landscape of Azshara, Lake Mennar serves as a secluded gathering ground for the blue dragonflight. Aside from Mazthoril to the north in Winterspring, it is virtually unheard of to encounter blue dragons in such numbers across Kalimdor. Blue dragonspawn tirelessly patrol the ridges and approaches circling the basin, fiercely guarding the waters. Yet for any wanderer daring enough to slip through this vigilant ring of sentries, the calm waters of the lake offer unexpected quietude, shielded from the arcane turmoil and roaming beast packs common to the rest of the peninsula.
