Isle of Dread
The Isle of Dread is a desolate, cliff-bound island situated in the Great Sea off the southwestern coast of Feralas, south of Sardor Isle. It is notorious for sheltering monstrous two-headed chimaeroks and an entrenched coven of hostile naga hidden within its subterranean sea caves.
A Land of Monsters and Tides
Rising out of the crashing surf of the South Seas, the Isle of Dread lives up to its ominous name. Ringed by sheer cliffs, the island's interior valley is only accessible through a narrow pathway on its southeastern coast. Within this enclosed highland roams a lethal population of chimaeroks—ravenous, two-headed beasts empowered by ambient arcane energies. These beasts are led by the monstrous Lord Lakmaeran, making the island a deadly deathtrap for unwary explorers who cross the channel from Sardor Isle.
The Northern Caverns
While the inland plateau belongs to the chimaeroks, the island's northern shore conceals a cavern system occupied by the Hatecrest naga. Led by Lord Shalzaru, these serpent-folk lurk within deep submerged chambers, plotting against the night elven sentinels stationed at nearby Feathermoon Stronghold. Their subterranean lair includes hidden underwater passages that wind into secluded grottoes, serving as a heavily fortified outpost away from mainland scrutiny.
