Grizzlepaw Ridge

Grizzlepaw Ridge is a rugged, craggy hillside rising south of Thelsamar in Loch Modan. It is notorious among local mountaineers for its dense population of wild bears, led by the legendary beast Ol' Sooty.

Overlooking the road south of Thelsamar and bordering Stonesplinter Valley to the west, Grizzlepaw Ridge is rough country dominated by predatory wildlife. The slopes are claimed by territorial bears that pose a hazard to travelers skirting the mountains. Deep within the ridge dwells Ol' Sooty, a massive and unusually fierce bear feared by local hunters. Travelers moving between the dwarven settlements must keep a wary eye on the tree line and rocky terraces above.
