Grimesilt Dig Site
Grimesilt Dig Site is an archaeological excavation in the Searing Gorge originally broken ground by Ironforge dwarves. Overrun by hostile Dark Iron dwarves, the pit is now firmly under enemy control while surviving members of the original expedition struggle to endure in hiding.
A Contested Excavation
Situated within the soot-choked badlands of the Searing Gorge, the Grimesilt Dig Site began as an expedition sanctioned by Ironforge scholars seeking relics beneath the crags. That venture met a violent end when the native Dark Iron dwarves drove out the excavators and claimed the equipment for themselves. Today, the trench swarms with Dark Iron sentries, leaving the wounded and scattered survivors of the original Ironforge crew trapped in and around the pit.
