Green Belt
The Green Belt is a wild stretch of marshland in the eastern Wetlands, sprawling below the ridges of Grim Batol. It is overrun by roaming bog beasts, predatory crocolisks, and toxic oozes, guarded primarily by the solitary night elf Rethiel the Greenwarden.
A Wild and Contested Fen
Stretching across the eastern interior of the Wetlands, the Green Belt is one of the sodden region's untamed hollows. The local wildlife—ranging from massive crocolisks to shifting oozes and shambling bog beasts—makes travel through the mossy waters hazardous. Deep within its reaches sits a solitary watch post manned by Rethiel the Greenwarden, a lone night elf dedicated to studying the fen's ecology and keeping its hostile denizens in check.
Remnants of the Second War
Scattered amidst the muck lies the wreckage of a Dragonmaw clan caravan, left behind after the catastrophic battle at nearby Grim Batol. Crimson whelplings still linger around the broken carts and crushed cages, haunting reminders of the orcish clan's past enslavement of Alexstrasza and her red dragon brood.
