Garrison Armory

Maintaining a permanent military garrison in the arid wastes of the Blasted Lands requires constant supply, and Nethergarde Keep cannot rely purely on long supply trains from Stormwind. The Garrison Armory serves as the keep's primary industrial excavation. Nethergarde miners, overseen by foremen and assisted by engineers, work these subterranean shafts to pull valuable minerals from the earth. The ore extracted here is utilized directly by Nethergarde's smiths and fortifications or hauled back to the capital in exchange for the foodstuffs, tools, and provisions the fortress needs to maintain its vigil over the Dark Portal.

Because the armory sits away from the main walls of Nethergarde Keep, the excavation remains exposed to the harsh perils of the red desert. Dreadmaul ogres and wild beasts prowl the surrounding crags. The workforce within the tunnels operates under armed guard, knowing that any disruption to the armory directly threatens Nethergarde's ability to maintain its watch over the blasted frontier.
