Ethel Rethor
Ethel Rethor is an ancient night elven ruin situated along the rugged northwestern coast of Desolace. While a solitary, sealed tower still rises above the waves, the majority of the sunken settlement now lies submerged in the sea and overrun by hostile naga.
A Drowned Relic
Perched on the desolate coast of western Kalimdor, Ethel Rethor stands as a haunting reminder of the ancient night elven civilization that flourished before the Great Sundering. Much of the grand architecture has collapsed into the ocean depths, leaving only shattered foundations and a lone, weathered tower protruding from the surf. A small bridge extends toward the tower's sealed portal, but the structure remains shut tight against the elements and intruders alike. The submerged chambers and surrounding shallows have become a stronghold for coastal naga, making the waters treacherous for any who wander near.
Watchers on the Shore
Despite its remote location and serpentine infestation, Ethel Rethor draws travelers interested in Kalimdor's forgotten histories and ongoing threats. An agent of the Argent Dawn, Azore Aldamort, maintains a watchful presence near the ruins, monitoring the naga menace and offering aid to intrepid adventurers willing to dive into the sunken passages. Between the aquatic dangers offshore and the barren wastes inland, the ruins serve as a lonely coastal crossroads.
