Dead Field

The Dead Field is a blighted, abandoned farmstead situated in northern Silverpine Forest. Once quiet rural farmland, it has been seized by the Rot Hide gnolls and transformed into a forward staging ground for Scourge forces. Repeated Forsaken attempts to clear the area have faltered under the command of the banshee Nightlash.

Little remains of the original farmstead in the northern reaches of Silverpine Forest, its previous living occupants long lost to the Third War. Today, the ruined plot serves as a base of operations for the Rot Hide gnolls, who act as willing servants to the Scourge. As their numbers swelled, Deathstalker scouts passing through the region noted signs of imminent military mobilization threatening Forsaken supply lines and outposts. Small Forsaken assaults against the farm have repeatedly failed, turned back by the wailing apparition Nightlash—a banshee who manifests whenever her gnoll thralls are endangered.
