Tucked deep within the subterranean caverns beneath Orgrimmar, the Cleft of Shadow houses the city's practitioners of stealth, sorcery, and demonology. Far from the proud warrior ethos of Thrall's upper districts, it serves as a necessary haven for rogues, warlocks, and mages operating in the shadows of the Horde.

While Thrall's new Horde champions honor, shamanism, and strength of arms, practical leadership demands a place for subtler arts. Carved into the damp stone caverns below the capital, the Cleft of Shadow hosts the Shadowswift Brotherhood of rogues, the Darkfire Enclave of warlocks, and the scholars of the Arcane Enclave. Kept away from the everyday bustle of the valley districts, this dark quarter allows practitioners of poison, fel energy, and arcane magic to ply their trades out of direct public view while remaining under the watchful eye of Orgrimmar's leadership.
