Camp Narache
The story
Camp Narache is a secluded village nestled upon Red Cloud Mesa in southern Mulgore. It serves as the ancestral home of the Hawkwind tribe and the proving ground where young tauren begin their training. Sheltered high above the plains, the camp maintains ancient traditions while constantly guarding against encroaching quilboar and lingering centaur threats.
Situated at the northern edge of the elevated Red Cloud Mesa, Camp Narache is the primary settlement of the Hawkwind tribe. The village consists of several large hide lodges and pavilions, including a communal tent for wounded braves, an armory, a bakery tent, and a spirit lounge dedicated to meditation and ancestral communion. At the center of the camp, tribal elders and path trainers stand in a circle at the heart of the camp, where the venerable Greatmother Hawkwind still offers guidance, guiding newly initiated youth as they step into their roles as defenders of the Earth Mother.

What is Camp Narache?
Camp Narache is the starting village for young tauren, located atop Red Cloud Mesa in southern Mulgore. It is the central encampment of the Hawkwind tribe, serving as a sanctuary where fledgling hunters, warriors, druids, and shamans master their crafts before traveling outward to Bloodhoof Village and Thunder Bluff.
Who leads the village?
Chief Hawkwind guides the tribe's braves and coordinates the defenses of the mesa, alongside the tribe's revered elder, Greatmother Hawkwind. The tribe's trainers and elders gather at the center of the camp to instruct young adventurers.
What threats does the camp face?
The encampment is continually harassed by Bristleback quilboar operating out of Brambleblade Ravine to the east. In addition to feral battleboars and striders wandering the surrounding bluffs, the lingering danger of predatory centaur bands keeps the Hawkwind braves on constant alert.
Can travelers easily leave the mesa?
Red Cloud Mesa is naturally bounded by sheer cliffs. The only way down into the greater plains of Mulgore is along a guarded mountain path leading north, watched over by Hawkwind braves to prevent hostile beasts and quilboar from ambushing travelers.
