Quest · Teldrassil
Twisted Hatred
Twisted Hatred is a quest in Teldrassil uncovering the puppeteer behind Lord Melenas's actions. Adventurers journey into the Cleft northwest of Dolanaar to confront Xethorr the Wicked and eradicate his corrupted spiders before his vile schemes can spread across the boughs.
Quest text
Lord Melenas did not act alone; he was at the behest of another. The one you seek is Xethorr the Wicked. It seems he has twisted the spiders that call Teldrassil home, intending their venom for some foul plan.
He has taken residence deep in the forest, in the area to the northwest of here known as the Cleft. Take caution, and bring allies, for Xethorr is not an opponent to be trifled with.
Dispatch his brood, and bring me anything that may tell us more of the satyr's work here.

I should have known this was being used to twist the spiders of this land.
I have heard whispers of this substance being the source of much of the corruption plaguing us. Though this is not the original, it is an older sample and may yield more information than what we have obtained so far.
Normally I would have you send this to Darnassus for further study. However, it is best we keep this quiet for the moment, or Dolanaar will never recover its reputation.
I trust you to do the same.
