Sprite Darter

Sprite Darters are elusive, winged woodland beasts native to the ancient forests of Feralas. Characterized by their gleaming, iridescent wings and mysterious spiritual essence, they embody the whimsical yet fierce magical ecology of Kalimdor's deep forests. Though generally peaceful and shy, their innate resistance to magical forces and natural power make them significant to those attuned to the wilderness.

In recent times, the reclusive Sprite Darters have faced an unprecedented threat. The aggressive Grimtotem tauren clan inhabiting Feralas has begun rounding up and caging large numbers of these rare creatures for enigmatic purposes. Concerned night elves like Kindal Moonweaver actively recruit allies to disrupt the cages and liberate the trapped hatchlings before the Grimtotem bend them to their will.

Beyond night elf efforts to safeguard them, the darters have caught the eye of outside observers studying primal power. Witch Doctor Uzer'i, a troll spiritualist operating out of Camp Mojache, takes a keen interest in the natural energies and muisek contained within the Sprite Darters, seeking their essence to unravel the unique magic thriving throughout Feralas.
