Grub
Grub is an enterprising orc living in a roadside hut just east of the Crossroads in the Barrens. Operating a modest frontier eatery alongside a cook and a baker, he is famous—or perhaps notorious—for introducing travelers to the culinary uses of local vermin.
A Frontier Appetite
Tucked against the crags just east of the Crossroads, Grub oversees a rustic dwelling shared with Duhng, his cook, and Tarban Hearthgrain, a baker. While life on the plains demands a hearty stomach, Grub takes frontier self-sufficiency to an extreme. Rather than letting the abundant dig rats of the Barrens go to waste, he has turned them into a staple ingredient, offering to teach passing wanderers how to simmer the subterranean rodents into a savory, if unglamorous, stew.
