Gouged into the red earth and rock of southern Un'Goro, the Slithering Scar stands as an alien intrusion against the lush prehistoric landscape. The hive is controlled by the Gorishi silithid, an organized strain of insectoids that have honeycombed the cliffs with damp burrows and egg chambers. Within these subterranean warrens, workers and tunnelers nurture vast clutches of eggs and grubs alongside towering wasp broods. More alarmingly, the colony cultivates fledgling silithid colossi, monstrous behemoths intended to carve an uncontested path through the crater's ecology. Strange crystalline formations nestled within the hive pulse with unnatural resonance, acting as focal points for the colony's dark, coordinated will.

Scholars and explorers who traverse the perimeter of Un'Goro often notice a disturbing anomaly regarding the hive's location. While ancient crystalline pylons stand sentinel across the northern, eastern, and western boundaries of the basin, the southern reaches possess no such pillar. It is precisely in this unprotected gap that the Gorishi have burrowed inward from the neighboring deserts.
