Ring of Zoram
The Ring of Zoram is an ancient Kaldorei heirloom dating back to the glory days of the sunken city of Zoram before the Great Sundering. Once worn by the city's rulers and the key to the ancient lock of a sunken statuette, it recently fell into the hands of the encroaching coastal naga.
Ring of the Sunken City
Before the Well of Eternity collapsed and the oceans swallowed the western reaches of Kalimdor, Zoram was a coastal jewel of the night elven empire. The Ring of Zoram belonged to the rulers of the city, and a strange code is written upon its inner band in the language of the night elves. When the Great Sundering shattered the continent ten thousand years ago, the ring sank along with the city, lost beneath the crashing tides of what is now the Zoram Strand.
Reclamation by the Naga
For millennia, the ring remained buried beneath silt and ruins until the naga began scouring the coastline of Ashenvale. Ruuzel, a naga leader dwelling on an islet off the northern strand, uncovered the artifact among the sunken debris. Scholars like the night elf Talen seek the ring not merely for its antiquity, but because it functions as the only key capable of unlocking other relics salvaged from the depths, including sealed ancient statuettes recovered from the sea floor.
