Purified Kor Gem
A Purified Kor Gem is a rare, consecrated crystal required by the weaponsmith Jordan Stilwell outside Ironforge. Once tainted by dark energies, it must be reclaimed from the depths of Kalimdor and cleansed by elven magic before it can be forged into a holy arm of the Light.
From Corruption to Sanctity
The stone begins its journey as a Corrupted Kor Gem in the possession of the vile naga lurking within Blackfathom Deeps, deep beneath the coast of Ashenvale. To cleanse the stone of its aquatic, shadowy taint, a paladin must seek out the night elf Thundris Windweaver in Auberdine. Drawing upon arcane and natural arts, Thundris purges the corruption from the stone, transforming it into the radiant Purified Kor Gem. Only in this pristine state is it fit to serve as a conduit for holy power.
The Smith's Masterpiece
Outside Ironforge in the snowy crags of Dun Morogh, the human weaponsmith Jordan Stilwell requires the gem as a key component for forging a masterwork weapon. Having long possessed designs for an armament worthy of the Silver Hand, Stilwell lacked the exotic materials to realize his plans. The Purified Kor Gem, alongside Whitestone Oak Lumber and rare ore, provides the spiritual core necessary to channel the paladin's righteous wrath.
