Heartswood Core
The Heartswood Core is an enchanted ritual focus crafted from the wood of an ancient tree. Provided by Gakin the Darkbinder in Stormwind City, it channels the magic required to pierce the Twisting Nether and summon a succubus into an arcane summoning circle.
A Focus for the Nether
Within the dark crypts beneath the Slaughtered Lamb tavern in Stormwind's Mage Quarter, warlocks conduct rites far away from the prying eyes of the city watch. The Heartswood Core serves as an essential arcane conduit for initiating the ritual of binding. Fashioned from harvested heartswood, the core contains sufficient lingering magical resonance to pierce the veil between worlds. By focusing their dark arts through the wood at a consecrated summoning circle, an initiate can tear open a passage to the Twisting Nether, compelling a succubus across the planar barrier.
