Filled Pure Sample Jar
A Filled Pure Sample Jar contains an uncorrupted specimen of primordial ooze gathered from the remote wilds. It serves as crucial baseline data for the gnome scholar Laris Geardawdle in Ironforge, who is studying how environmental corruption alters living matter.
A Search for Uncorrupted Slime
In his study of oozes across Azeroth, the gnomish researcher Laris Geardawdle discovered a troubling phenomenon: these amorphous creatures absorb and reflect the magical and environmental corruption of their habitats. After cataloging the tainted slimes of Felwood, Laris determined that deciphering the nature of the rot required a control group. A Filled Pure Sample Jar holds ooze harvested from pristine, untainted wilderness—such as the primordial ecology of Un'Goro Crater—offering scholars an unaltered specimen to compare against diseased and corrupted strains.
Primordial Ecology
Because oozes are extraordinarily malleable organisms, true 'pure' samples cannot be collected near modern civilization, demonic blights, or necromantic fallout. The glutinous oozes inhabiting the untamed basin of Un'Goro Crater remain relatively isolated from outside corruption, making them an ideal scientific standard for Ironforge's inquiring minds.
