Filled Containment Coffer

When unexplained magical disturbances manifested within Algernon's shop in the Apothecarium, the Forsaken mage Anastasia Hartwell commissioned practitioners of the arcane to capture the entities responsible. Because the rift creatures exist purely as living magical energy and wander unseen, ordinary cages are useless. Instead, spellcasters reveal the entities with a Cantation of Manifestation, defeat them in combat, and snap these specially prepared containment coffers shut around them. The sealed boxes shield the carrier from volatile magical backlashes while keeping the specimens intact for magical dissection.

The presence of living mana creatures in the Undercity poses a serious threat. Once sealed into containment coffers, the captive beasts are transported back to Anastasia Hartwell and the city's scholars. The primary concern among the Forsaken mages is determining whether these intrusions are natural rifts in Azeroth's magical fabric or the preliminary probes of a calculated magical assault aimed at the kingdom.
