Etched Parchment

Young orcs and Darkspear trolls seeking their place among the Horde begin their rites in the arid basin of the Valley of Trials. While they prove themselves against the local vermin, Gornek serves as a watchful overseer who guides recruits toward their calling. For those destined to wield bow, gun, and fang, Gornek passes along this etched parchment. It bears a direct message from Jen'shan, a skilled hunter trainer seeking fresh eyes and steady hands.

Carrying the parchment to Jen'shan marks the true beginning of a hunter's training in Durotar. Jen'shan emphasizes that walking the wild path is no easy task, requiring just as much dedication to master the beasts of the desert as an arcanist devotes to magic or a shaman gives to the spirits. Reading the parchment and answering her call introduces novitiates to proper marksmanship and wilderness survival.
