Disarming Colloid
Disarming Colloid is a specialized chemical agent formulated to counter the volatility of Seaforium explosive powder. Provided by the dwarf Ashlan Stonesmirk in the Wetlands, it serves as the crucial stabilizing component in a neutralizing mixture meant to prevent a catastrophic demolition of the Stonewrought Dam.
A Chemical Neutralizer
When Ashlan Stonesmirk analyzed the unusual blasting powder left by Dark Iron sappers at the Stonewrought Dam in Loch Modan, he recognized it immediately by its distinct scent and fine silver crystals: Seaforium. While harmless when completely dry, Seaforium becomes immensely destructive upon contact with moisture, making it an existential threat to the waterlogged Stonewrought Dam. To halt this reaction before a detonation occurs, Stonesmirk provided a disarming colloid. When combined with three specific local reagents—lurker venom, crushed Mo'grosh crystal, and a crocolisk tear—this colloid effectively neutralizes the explosive properties of the Seaforium compound.
