Deviate Hide
Deviate Hides are the mutated skins stripped from the beasts dwelling within the Wailing Caverns. Warped by the corrupting dream of the druid Naralex, these otherworldly pelts are sought by druids looking to repurpose the nightmare's taint into durable leather goods.
Tainted Pelts of the Nightmare
When the night elf druid Naralex entered his deep slumber beneath the Barrens, his dream turned into an Emerald Nightmare that warped the local cavern ecology. The beasts lurking in the depths transformed into unnatural deviate predators with tough, mutated hides. While inherently touched by evil, these pelts possess unusual, supple resilience that makes them uniquely suited for leathercrafting. Nalpak, perched high above the cavern mouth in the skull-shaped rock formation, collects these hides to study their properties and fashion them into sturdy utility packs.
