Darkshore Grouper

Found in the cold sea waters of Darkshore, the Darkshore Grouper is a prized catch for coastal anglers. The fish is valued for its culinary versatility, making its way into an array of simple coastal dishes favored by travelers and residents around Auberdine. While it can be hauled out of the surf with basic angling gear, fishermen consider hooking them as enjoyable as eating them.

Historically, fishermen such as Gubber Blump took small vessels out into deeper waters to haul in grouper by the dozen. However, increasing aggression from coastal murlocs has grounded most boats around Auberdine. With anglers confined to the shorelines and docks, locals suspect the encroaching murlocs are devouring the local grouper stock, making a good haul harder to come by without patience.
