Corroded Shrapnel
Corroded Shrapnel consists of jagged metal fragments lodged deep within the corrupted treants of the Stonetalon Mountains. Recovered from fallen protectors like Charred and Blackened Ancients, this debris provides physical evidence of the foul weaponry used by the Venture Company during their retreat.
Remnants of Industrial Ruin
When the Venture Company was driven back from the groves of Stonetalon, the goblins unleashed brutal, reckless munitions to cover their escape. Shrapnel from these explosive weapons tore into the valley's defending treants, embedding jagged metal deep within their bark and core. Rather than healing, the ancient guardians slowly fell to corruption, their wood blackening and their fury turning upon anyone who stepped into the vale. The rusted, tainted fragments recovered from these wounded protectors are sought by Kaela Shadowspear so the gnome Gaxim Rustfizzle can analyze the exact mechanisms of the corruption.
