Calor's Note
Calor's Note is a scrap of faded parchment written by the woodsman Calor to recommend a tested adventurer to Master Jonathan Carevin. It serves as an introduction into a shadowy cadre operating alongside, yet distinct from, Darkshire's formal town militia.
A Rare Recommendation
Duskwood offers very little warmth to strangers, and Calor is notoriously hard to impress. Surviving encounters with the bloodthirsty worgen stalking the woods earns his respect, prompting him to draft this brief message. Carried to Darkshire, the faded note acts as a badge of credibility, introducing an outsider directly to Jonathan Carevin.
A Private Crusade
While Darkshire relies on the Night Watch for public defense, Calor and Carevin pursue a grimmer, more clandestine fight. Calor openly laments being outnumbered by the town guard, hoping for enough capable fighters to advance their private war. Delivery of the note grants entry into Carevin's campaign against demons, undead, and the hidden sympathizers abetting Duskwood's decline.
