Burning Rock
The Burning Rock is an unusual, smoldering mineral recovered from the Nightbane worgen leader Gutspill deep within Roland's Doom in Duskwood. Master blacksmith Grimand Elmore in Stormwind requires this rare curiosity, alongside fiery worgen blood, to forge specialized enchanted armor for promising warriors.
A Smoldering Prize
Carried by Gutspill, a savage Nightbane worgen lurking in the decrepit shafts of Roland's Doom, the Burning Rock is an anomaly among Duskwood's subterranean horrors. Emitting an unyielding supernatural heat, it caught the attention of Grimand Elmore in Stormwind City. Seeking to test experimental smithing techniques originated by his peer Furen Longbeard, Grimand uses the rock's intrinsic heat and the boiling blood of the local worgen to temper tough armor plate for veteran fighters.
