Ataeric's Staff
Ataeric's Staff is a powerful magical conduit wielded by Archmage Ataeric, a senior Dalaran wizard in Silverpine Forest. It serves as both a focus for manipulating local ley lines and physical proof of the archmage's defeat for the Forsaken at the Sepulcher.
Trophy of the Sepulcher
Alarmed by Dalaran's magical expansion, Shadow Priest Allister ordered Ataeric's assassination and demanded the recovery of the staff. With Ataeric slain and his staff recovered, the concentrated ley energies collapsed back into dormancy. Bringing the staff to the Sepulcher marked a decisive victory against Dalaran's ambitions, though the Forsaken remain watchful of the latent power remaining in the earth.
