Thalassian Base Camp
Tucked onto a high ridge in northern Azshara, the Thalassian Base Camp serves as the staging ground for an expedition of blood elves unearthing ancient arcane relics. Though initially funded under an agreement with the Horde, the camp's leadership quickly broke faith once digging commenced. Now, amidst their red pavilions and pulverized magical artifacts, darker summoning practices hint at their true objectives.
A Fractured Accord
The blood elf expedition nestled east of Ursolan was not supposed to be hostile to travelers from Orgrimmar. Their leader, Magus Rimtori, negotiated a formal pact with the Horde: in exchange for supply lines, funding, and armed escort through Azshara's treacherous wildlands, her researchers would share whatever magical riches they uncovered. Instead, as soon as the base camp was fortified and the first relics were pried from the elven ruins, Rimtori reneged entirely, driving away Horde emissaries. While Rimtori searches deeper reaches with an armed retinue, Magister Hawkhelm keeps watch over the ridge, guarding the encampment against retribution.
