Splinterspear Junction

Standing near the center of the Swamp of Sorrows, Splinterspear Junction divides travelers between two paths: the northern trail leading toward the Lost One refuge of the Harborage and the Fallow Sanctuary, and the southern road running directly past the fortress of Stonard toward the Blasted Lands. An ancient orcish watchtower oversees the split, garrisoned and patrolled by active Horde troops. For members of the Horde, it serves as a secure landmark in a treacherous marsh; for Alliance travelers, it represents a deadly ambush point along an already unforgiving trail.
