Sorrowmurk
The Sorrowmurk is the treacherous wetland expanse lying directly east of the Pool of Tears in the Swamp of Sorrows. Long dominated by patrolling green dragonkin guarding the approach to the Sunken Temple, it remains one of the most perilous regions in the eastern marshes.
A Perilous Border
Stretching out along the eastern edge of the Pool of Tears, the Sorrowmurk is a dense and murky mire that borders the Forbidding Sea. For years, the waters and tangled boughs have crawled with ferocious green dragonspawn and towering drakes, remnants of the brood sent to watch over the submerged temple of Atal'Hakkar. Their presence ensures that only seasoned travelers dare wander through its sodden reaches.
