Shifting Mire
The Shifting Mire forms the vast, muddy heart of the Swamp of Sorrows, lying just west of the Pool of Tears. Its name comes from the strange, restless silt beneath the murky water, which seems to drift and gather under the influence of an unseen force.
A Living Bog
Spanning the central reaches of the marshland, the Shifting Mire is an unsettling expanse where solid footing is hard to come by. The silt along the swamp floor shifts and collects as though moved by a living will, driven by a strange, ambient energy permeating the peat. Amidst the drifting mud prowl predatory swamp jaguars, massive sorrow spinners, and hungry sawtooth crocolisks, while bands of broken draenei known as the Lost Ones stalk the sunken paths.
