Shatterspear Vale
The story
Shatterspear Vale is a hidden valley tucked deep in the jagged mountains between Darkshore, Moonglade, and Felwood. It houses an isolated village of the Shatterspear troll tribe, living quietly around a secluded mountain lake. Largely sealed off from the wider world by sheer cliffs, it remains one of the most enigmatic settlements in northern Kalimdor.
Ringed completely by steep mountain cliffs, Shatterspear Vale was carved over millennia by a towering waterfall that cascades into a wide, gray-blue lake. Scattered around the shoreline are simple wooden huts, fishing tents, and carved tribal dwellings. Split into two halves by a tumbling mountain river crossed by a rope bridge, the settlement feels entirely isolated from the tumultuous politics of modern Kalimdor. Flight paths connecting northern Kalimdor to Nighthaven in Moonglade occasionally offer passing travelers a fleeting aerial glimpse of the vibrant, dancing villagers far below.
